ITINERARY
Day 1
Exploring the Palaces and Lakes
Morning:
8:00 AM – Arrival in Udaipur
Arrive at Maharana Pratap Airport or Udaipur Railway Station and check in to your hotel. Choose a hotel with a lake view for a scenic stay.

9:00 AM – Visit City Palace
Start your day with a visit to the City Palace, the largest royal complex in Rajasthan, located on the banks of Lake Pichola. The palace offers stunning views of the lake and the city.
Explore the palace’s museums, courtyards, and balconies, and don’t miss the Zenana Mahal (Queen’s quarters) and Mewari painting gallery.
Enjoy the panoramic view of Udaipur from the Suraj Gokhada (sunset balcony).
Late Morning:
11:00 AM – Boat Ride on Lake Pichola
Take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. You can hire a boat from the City Palace or from the ghats. During the boat ride, you’ll pass by Jag Mandir, a beautiful island palace, and Lake Palace (Taj Lake Palace), one of the most iconic landmarks of Udaipur.
If time permits, you can visit Jag Mandir for a closer look.
Lunch:
1:00 PM – Lunch at a Lakeside Restaurant
Have lunch at one of the many lakeside restaurants offering delicious Rajasthani thali or continental food. Recommended restaurants include Ambrai, Jhumar, or Sunset Terrace.

2:30 PM – Visit Jagdish Temple
Visit the Jagdish Temple, an iconic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is known for its intricate carvings and stunning architecture.
Spend time appreciating the carvings and the temple’s spiritual atmosphere.

3:30 PM – Visit the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace
Head to the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace (also known as the Monsoon Palace). Perched atop a hill, it offers magnificent views of the city, lakes, and surrounding countryside.
It is an excellent spot for photography, especially during the evening when the sun sets behind the hills.
Evening:
5:30 PM – Visit Fateh Sagar Lake
After the Monsoon Palace, head to Fateh Sagar Lake. It’s a beautiful artificial lake with Boating and a great place for a relaxing evening.
Visit Nehru Garden, located on an island in the lake, or enjoy a sunset walk along the promenade.
Evening:
7:00 PM – Evening at the Lake Pichola for Sunset
Return to Lake Pichola to watch the sunset, reflecting on the grandeur of the Lake Palace and City Palace in the golden light.
Night:
8:00 PM – Dinner
Have a traditional dinner at a restaurant like Ambrai, Gangaur Restaurant, or Amantra Shilpi Resort for a lakeside view.
Day 2
Exploring Temples, Museums, and Gardens
Morning:
8:00 AM – Visit the Saheliyon ki Bari
Begin your day with a visit to Saheliyon ki Bari (Garden of the Maidens), a beautiful garden built for the royal ladies. It has fountains, lotus pools, and marble pavilions.
The garden’s tranquility and beauty make it a perfect spot for a morning stroll.
9:30 AM – Visit the Bagore Ki Haveli
Head to Bagore Ki Haveli, a beautiful palace turned museum located on the Gangaur Ghat. It has impressive architecture and showcases traditional Mewari costumes, folk dance performances, and exhibits of Udaipur’s culture.
Don’t miss the Dharohar Dance Show in the evening if you can fit it into your schedule.
Lunch:
12:00 PM – Lunch at a Local Restaurant
For lunch, enjoy Rajasthani cuisine at Thali Restaurant or Natraj Dining Hall. You can try local delicacies such as Dal Baati Churma, Gatte ki Sabzi, and Laal Maas.
Afternoon:
1:30 PM – Visit the Vintage Car Museum

2:30 PM – Visit the Eklingji Temple
Afterward, drive to Eklingji Temple, located about 22 km from Udaipur. This historic temple complex is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features impressive architecture and carvings. It’s one of the most important temples in Rajasthan.

4:00 PM – Visit Ahar Cenotaphs
Head to Ahar Cenotaphs, an area where many maharajas of Mewar were cremated. The place houses many royal tombs and is known for its tranquil atmosphere and architectural beauty.
5:30 PM – Sunset at Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace (Optional)
If you have time, return to the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace for another sunset view or relax at Fateh Sagar Lake for an evening of tranquility.
7:00 PM – Dinner
Enjoy a leisurely dinner at Sheesh Mahal or Upre by 1559 AD, both offering great views and delicious food. Alternatively, if you want a royal experience, have dinner at the Lake Palace (now a luxury hotel) or Jagdish Mandir Road.
